Why asking deep questions gives you the perfect solution

news Mar 22, 2021

What’s bringing you great joy right now?

Who are the people you look up to the most right now?

What needs to change in your life for you to say that your life is completely wonderful in the next 3 years?

What are you working on right now?

Asking deep questions (like the ones above) are one of the keys to leadership growth.

In the current podcast episode, Matthew Purkey and I talked about why asking questions is a better leadership strategy than just telling people what to do.

“...If people tell me constantly what to do and how to handle it, I'm probably going to subconsciously push back.”

When Matthew said that I immediately felt a sense of kinship with him.

Most of us can relate to the instinctive resistance to someone telling us what to do...

...but when we figure out the answers ourselves, it’s an opportunity to “buy into” the solution.

As leaders we can give our team members the same opportunity to come to their own conclusions by asking great questions.

But when you’re asking questions like “Who should I hire and when?” then you might want to join the For Love of Team unique, immersive retreat experience.

Because there’s a lot that we could tell you about creating a team that you love but one of our methodologies is to ask you all the questions and have you discover the answers for yourself.

Our inaugural retreat will be held at the beach in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, in May 2021. There are just a couple of openings left.

Charter members get the intimate For Love of Team experience for a fraction of our 2022 offer.

If this sounds like an experience that could transform your business text me at 1-754-800-9461. And I’ll answer any questions you have...before we put the deep questions into practice at the retreat.
